Ankle Deep in Lake Sammamish

My preschool class went on a field trip to Idylwood Park where I got to see eagles, a heron, and walk along the beach. I loved walking in the water and splashing!
There was a really steep slide at the playground. I climbed all the way up but decided I should probably wait until it was a dry day to go down the slide. It was a little rainy, but I was prepared in my rain gear from Grandma.

This is what what happens sometimes when Daddy falls asleep.
I'm playing with my new little Sophie Cat that Grauntie Mae got me. It looks a lot like her cat Sophie!

Zoo Trip: Meerkats

I went to the zoo recently to check out the meerkats since they came in this month.

They were really cute, digging together, standing up on their hind legs, and running in unison.

Right at the entrance of the exhibit, there's a model of a meerkat hole. I saw a millipede and Daddy got some of the Dung Beetle. Don't worry, it's fake! :)

I came back to the Willawong station to feed birds and I held on to one bird all by myself on the bird seed stick.

I saw two napping jaguars. The other one not pictured was lying on its back. They were enjoying the beautiful weather we had.

I also saw the gorillas! They were very funny.

Daddy said not to copy their behavior.

Especially this one. We saw this gorilla do this at least 3 times. WARNING!!! This is not for the squeamish. This made Mommy get her morning sickness back for a while. Apparently, they do this in captivity because they like the taste.

Here's a beautiful peacock strutting its feathers.

We also went to an animal play area. Daddy's pretending he's a big spider.

And I'm the fly.

Then he became a turtle.

I wanted to be a turtle too!

I fed the giraffes again too! It was such a fun day!

Like Daddy

I take notice of some of Daddy's habits and have been imitating them lately. One time, right when Mommy took off my shirt to change into pajamas, I ran around shirtless saying, "No pants like Daddy." (I really meant no shirt).

And this one, Mommy caught on video:

Daddy likes to lie in this position and surf a lot.

Mermaid Jujube

Pull-Up Crazy from Jujube on Vimeo.

Here, I am wearing 3 pull ups that I put on by myself (don't worry, my bare bottom is not on the carpet, I'm wearing another pull up). I love wearing them! I especially like the Cars pull ups instead of the Princess ones. Unfortunately, Mommy already bought a couple boxes of princess ones already.

The next day, Mommy decided to go through my old baby clothes. I added some of it to my pull ups outfit. Who knew I had so many shoes and booties and I didn't even walk!

I may not fit them anymore, but I can still wear them. I was stuck like this for a bit. Mommy said I looked like a mermaid.

Pre-Ultrasound

Mommy wasn't the only one to have an ultrasound this month. I had one too (its my 3rd one). Before my ultrasound visit at the hospital, we hung out with Grandma at U-Village.

Playground Fun from Jujube on Vimeo.
This is the first time I went up to the slide by myself (with the help of the ramps, of course). All that playtime in the preschool motor room really paid off!

There was a special Kids Club playdate event at the playground and there were all these nifty cars there.

My car has funny buggy eyes.

That was a fun test drive, I think I'm gonna ask Daddy to buy me one.

I like this butterfly ride too.

While Grandma and Mommy had lunch, I had fun with some of the cool party favors (and my new Sophie cat from Grauntie Mae) that I was supposed to get from my second cousin Braden's first birthday bash at Salty's that I missed because of a muscus-y vomit-y cold that actually turned out to be a sinus infection (not contagious) according to my doctor.

Mickeys on Horseback

Mommy thought it was funny I set up this horsepool confirguration. In case you were wondering, I had stuck an elephant sticker on Mommy's camera some time ago. I had to point it out to her.

He adjusted it for my size.

Bunny Slipper

Mommy: What are you doing to the bunny slipper key chain, Jujube?
Jujube: I'm putting on the bunny slipper.

Jujube: I make it fit.

My New Owl Backpack

I picked out an owl backpack (there were no bunny ones) to use for preschool. Needless to say, I was pretty happy when it came in the mail.

I Love Dalmatians

A month ago, Grandma took me to the park and we bumped into a pair of cute Dalmatian puppies. I was so excited to to see them since they are pretty rare to see. They are some of my favorite dogs (next to Lucy :) ) I always point out the dalmatians when I see them in book or read about Fire Stations. I have a few furry dalmatians of my own at home (the 'easy to take of' ones, as Mommy calls them). The nice owner let me pet them and when they left for the dog park, I asked Grandma to take a picture, but Grandma didn't have a camera with her and it was too late by then.

So one day, on our way back home, as we passed by the dog park, Mommy spotted the 2 dalmatians again! She quickly drove into the dog park parking lot and we walked towards them. This time I was able to get a picture with them.

It's not the best picture, but they were extra frisky that day and kept kissing my face (it doesn't help we're at the same height) so I ran away from them. It was weird, because normally I don't mind doggies kissing me, but these dogs were pretty forward. Imagine having 2 extra friendly doggies licking your face crazily at the same time.
