Kelsey Creek Farm

This past Saturday I went to watch sheep shearing at Kelsey Creek Farm. It was my first time being so close to farm animals. I saw sheep, pigs, baby chickens, goats, dogs, birds, and ponies!

My first stop was the sheep shearing area. These sheep were in line to get their haircuts so they were really wooly!

I touched the sheep's wool, but mommy was afraid I would wake the sheep up. Daddy is so funny.

I tried waking up the sheep anyway.

We stood in the 'Meet & Greet Pony' line for a bit so I could get a closer look at some ponies.

The pony replied back to me!

At first, I was kind of scared to pat the pony, but Mommy helped me and I loved it! The pony is so soft.

I had a fun day at the farm!

Let's Help!

One of my favorite books is my Let's Help book that I got from Grauncle and Grauntie #6. On the front cover is my second cousin Edison. He was also Mommy and Daddy's ring boy. He's a big boy now and is already in kindergarten.

Let's Help from Jujube on Vimeo. This is my favorite part because Edison is in it.

Daddy's Wallet

Whenever I spend time alone with Daddy, not only does he let me take out all the tissues, he also lets me go through his wallet.

Roughage

Daddy's not a big veggie person, so he gave me the heart of his Shanghai bok choy to munch on.

Yum, it's fun to eat!

I like it, but this stuff gives me facial hair. Like my soul patch?

By the way, Daddy still holds the record. I'm only at 3 days.

Mariner's Opening Day

Since Ken Griffey Jr is back, Daddy bought a bunch of Mariners tickets throughout the year. And today was opening day!

Mommy wanted to see if I still fit my old Ichiro shirt like I did last year.

Guess not!

Well, I guess its okay since he's not playing.

But I still fit my hat!

The Kid Returns from Jujube on Vimeo.
We were a little late getting there and even though we probably would have gotten a better view at our seats, we stopped to watch Ken Griffey Jr's first at bat. Daddy didn't want to miss what he came here for.

The Kid's First At Bat Hit from Jujube on Vimeo. Good thing we stopped! Otherwise Daddy would have kicked himself if he missed this one!

When we got to our seats, there was so much going on! I even saw some birds!

I also saw a cup of beer but the man pushed it away before I could swipe at it.

I kept smiling at the man in back of me. He asked me if I was flirting with him. I didn't know what that meant. He did tell me to turn around to smile for Mommy's camera. So I did.

I didn't really want to wear my hat though. I guess I'm just not a hat person like Daddy.

Go Mariners! from Jujube on Vimeo. I had fun cheering on the team. We stayed for the extra inning. What an awesome and exciting ending!

It was such a great game that Daddy didn't mind battling the crowd and traffic to get home. While we were waiting for the elevator, a hairy man with a club badge asked my Mommy and Daddy "Who is this beautiful girl" and asked for my name. He kept talking to Mommy and Daddy and asking us how to say 'beautiful girl' in Chinese after he found out we were Chinese and said, "Ni hao". Daddy said it was my first time being hit on. I don't know what "hit on" means either.

Here I am back at home and inspecting my first baseball card I got from one of the Mariners volunteers. It's bedtime! What a great day!

Bunny and Doggy Day

Continuing with Bunny Tour '09, Mommy and Daddy took me to the Humane Society. No, we aren't adopting any yet (but I'm still working on it). I got to see lots of doggies, kitties, guinea pigs, and of course, bunnies. They were so cute!

Amber Bunny from Jujube on Vimeo.
In the critter room, there were at least 9 bunnies and several guinea pigs. This bunny in front of me is named Amber.

This bunny was thirsty.

This bunny wanted to be alone with his friend.

After the Humane Society, we went to the dog park. It's my second visit there. This time Mommy and Daddy took me inside instead of staying in the corral. I saw lots of doggies in all shapes and sizes. And they were so happy! They were running around playing, chasing each other, sniffing butts, among other things. There was a lot to watch!

Dog Kisses from Jujube on Vimeo.
Some of the dogs were really friendly. This dog even came over and gave me a kiss! His owner says he loves kissing people.

These big dogs came up really close to me on my lap! I was really surprised.

Happy Birthday Lia!

Happy Birthday to my friend Lia! Here she is standing for a long time in her pretty party dress.

I had a lot of fun at her party

I even brought a date.

At the end I was getting a little sleepy, so I had to leave a little early.

Abstract Art

A few weeks ago, Katie, my PT was surprised to see me hold a crayon like a big kid.

Drawing Righty from Jujube on Vimeo. Pau Pau led me into my first foray into abstract art. She let me have a pen and paper.

Drawing Ear Lefty from Jujube on Vimeo.
Not sure where I got the ear from. Maybe Grandma or Pau Pau taught me? Hopefully this has nothing to do with Van Gogh.

My first masterpiece that I drew with Pau Pau.
Medium: Black ink on notebook paper, college ruled.

Katie my PT says that babies are ambidextrous until they're ~2-3 years old. I wonder which one I'll be.

By the way, I'm 16 months today!
