Class Picture Day

Today was my first day of the new school year on the bus. (I've already had school for 2 weeks already). Since I changed from afternoon session to morning session, they had to take time to change my route. It's raining and I'm wearing my cute hello kitty rain gear from Auntie Marlene and Uncle Gordon. Mommy is jealous they don't make one in her size. It is also picture day so, I am all dressed up.

This picture is when I got back home. I left my Hello Kitty raincoat at school and Mommy gave me her jacket.

I'm staring at the rain water streaming down into the drain.

My hump is my owl backpack, of course.

Mommy had to refrain me from splashing in the puddles.

Of course, I couldn't resist. (Hey look, I'm standing on one leg! A gross motor milestone)

My clothes were still clean, as Ms. Hansen had promised. Usually I come home with stains on my clothes. Mommy has to guess what I ate or what arts and crafts I worked on.

Mommy will have to wait to see how my class pictures came out.

Dei Dei knows what to do with a tea cup.

Ahhh, caffeine free (and tea free).

My First Bike Ride

...with training wheels, of course. This is a special adaptive bike I was riding during my hippotherapy session. I rode this bike after riding Ziggy. It was the first ride with my new therapist, Sarah. Now I have 2 therapists named Sara(h). Staci, my previous PT had to go on maternity leave a little earlier.

I've had medical people tell me that I can never ride a bike, but I'll show them one day!

Walking Dei Dei

Dei Dei started taking steps at 10 months. He's still crawling nowadays and has been walking more and more. We think he still likes crawling because he can get around faster.

Here, he's zipping by our friend, Bagels. He can really go a lot faster than this if he sees a gadget he likes (esp if I am playing with it) or if Mommy leaves the door open when I go potty.

A sample of his walking. He tripped on Mommy's foot at the end.

Dei Dei, The Athlete

A lot of people (even my PT, Sara) have said Dei Dei will be an athlete when he is older. Daddy wants him to play football. He's already figured out the perfect position for him. Mommy doesn't want him to play a sport where you get concussions and brain damage. She'd prefer him to play something a little safer, like soccer. He's already got some of the skills down (besides dribbling :))...

like throw ins

or trapping a ball.

He'd get a hand ball penalty for this one (unless he's a goalie)

Dei Dei's Got the Beat

Dei Dei's been discovering his beat lately.

He likes to dance to all sorts of music.

He found a dance partner here.

Dei Dei is creating new dance moves here. I sort of think he'd be better at wrestling.

Happy Birthday, Teddy!

I went to Lucy's house. Now it is also Teddy's house and it was his first birthday party.

Dei Dei was playing with Aimee. He still has to learn to share and be gentle with girls.

He'd rather play ball with the big kids, though.

Finally got a ball.

Dei Dei even played with Lucy.

He had fun chasing him.

Dei Dei caught up, but Lucy didn't want to stay too close to Dei Dei. Dei Dei really needs to learn to be gentle with animals too.

Happy Birthday, Teddy! We had so much fun at your party and there was so much yummy food there!

Thanks for inviting us!
