Hanging Out With Carolyn

Carolyn and I had fun running all around Chengdu on the last day before they closed for renovation. They'll open up in October as a non-buffet restaurant.

My Equestrian Fitting

I went to do a fitting at Olson's Tack Shop for a fashion show at the Evergreen Classic Benefit Horse Show in August. I'll be wearing the latest in equestrian fashion. Mommy was surprised they had clothes in my size. I guess some kids start as early as 2.

Dei Dei got restless and crawled around while I did the modeling.

He tried to go inside the fitting room.

I followed him into the saddle room.

It looks like I'm practicing the catwalk, but really I was running everywhere in the store. Mommy had to chase me down.

My model pose with riding boots and helmet.

Me and a horsey. There were a lot of horse toys there.

Here's a different helmet. It's a bit lighter, but not as swanky as the other velvet helmet.

All the equestrian shirts have a high neck collar which is not so comfortable.

Heather helped me put together this outfit. She made sure the tags weren't poking me.
I had a great time here. If Mommy and Daddy were richer and I improve in my horseback riding to do equestrian, we'd probably shop here. Then again, how many equestrian stores are there here? But this is a very nice store. They had a pretty good selection of kids equestrian clothing and even special cookie treats for horses. I might pick some up for Ziggy, my horse, in the future.

Audrey's First Birthday

Our friend Audrey had her first birthday party last Saturday. It was at a fun place with lot of things to play with.

We both arrived at the birthday party napping.

Dei Dei woke up first and met the birthday girl in her party dress.

He's using his sly eyes to check out the cute birthday girl.

Audrey was checking out Dei Dei's bald head.

Dei Dei's finding out early that cute girls can hurt you.

He needed a hug before he got back.

After a while he was better

And started playing with the Sit n Spin

He really liked it.

Dei Dei followed me on the rollercoaster

All the kids loved it. It was a big hit.

Dei Dei played with a pink carriage while Daddy wasn't looking.

I grabbed a leopard to go into the playhouse.

Dei Dei played with the wheels on the stroller.

We sang 'Happy Birthday' to Audrey and she had her birthday cake.

We played some more. Isabel wanted to catch Dei Dei going down the slide.

Dei Dei met another cute girl

But he was only interested in the ball (typical boy).

It was a fun party! Who knows what Audrey is whispering in Aaron's ear.

Happy birthday, Audrey!

Daddy's Company Picnic

I went to Daddy's company picnic and there were all kinds of goodies. Dei Dei kept eyeing my cotton candy.

He tried to grab it too.

I gave it to him after I took the candy, of course. Don't worry, I didn't eat the whole thing. ( It fell on the floor)

Daddy took me up a big slide.

We got some parrot balloons

I went on the playground.

and the beach, which I loved.

Daddy played streetfighter.

There wasn't really much for Dei Dei to do.

But he still had fun

with Daddy.

I made some giant bubbles

There was a big foam bath that I wanted to go into, but I changed my mind later.

I went to the Sesame Street inflatable. I had gone on it early and didn't move around a lot.

But on my second try later in the day, I was going down the slide

And everywhere else.

Dei Dei wished he could join me.

Softball Tournament

My church had an all day softball tournament on Saturday. Daddy played while Mommy, Dei Dei, and I came to cheer on our fellowship team, Happyfish.

Daddy hit a homerun here.

We were having fun in the dugout. My friend "Cashew" is really strong!

Out team won the consolation game. We had beat one of the teams going into the finals, but they got to move on because they scored more runs. It was a fun game anyway. We got to play against Pastor Gar and Pastor Solomon.

Dei Dei napped during most of the game, but had fun with the water bottle when he woke up.
