Fun at Home while Mommy's at Work

Last Thursday, I went to visit Mommy's workplace for the first time. So many people were looking at me. I got to see Mommy's office and a little bit of what she does. Then for the past two days this week Mommy went back to work by herself. She was really sad and missed me a lot. It was the first time we were separated for so long. She said she looked at my blog a lot to help her feel better. But I got to spend the day with Grandma on one day and then the next day, I spent it with Auntie Judy, Auntie Sharon, and Daddy. Auntie Melinda and Uncle Ron had brought a lot of food earlier this week so Mommy and Daddy didn't have to cook. Auntie Judy brought food too and Auntie Sharon made a yummy healthy chicken meatloaf. Too bad I couldn't eat any yet. I had a lot of fun with everyone and they are a big help for Mommy and Daddy. During Tummy Time I was flipping over like crazy for everyone. Mommy and Daddy and I are really blessed to have such caring and loving people in our lives.

Reading is Fun

Daddy likes to read a lot. He lent me some books to read.

Daddy, what's the probability that I pooped in my pants?

I like reading all sorts of books.

Reading is so much fun.

I'm reading on my changing table right now. Since I'm not potty trained yet, this is the closest way I can be like Daddy when he reads on the potty.

Daddy's teaching me to pass and dribble (the dry way)!

Congratulations Sai Kaufu!

Sai Kaufu will be graduating from college next week. He got me this shirt last Christmas. If Mommy were true to her alma mater, she would have not let me wear this rival T-shirt, but since she's proud of her baby brother (my Sai Kaufu), she let me wear this today. (Mommy says Elmo confused #1 with #2 :P :)) Mommy really wanted to go to see him graduate, but she thinks that I'm not ready to fly to the east coast yet.

Did you know my Sai Kaufu runs really fast? He's the 35th fastest in the nation. He ran the 100m dash in 10.39 secs. His time qualifies him to compete again at some big meet in Florida after he graduates.

I hope I get some of his fast genes when I start walking.

Boppy Time!

Mommy doesn't use her boppy pillow anymore for my feedings.

Instead, I've been using it to practice sitting as Katie, my PT, had taught me. But sometimes I just want to relax, so I try different positions in it:

Daddy taught me a couple of other relaxation positions:

Binky Who?

Lately, Binky just hasn't been doing it for me. I've been discovering my great tasting thumb. Not only does it taste great, it's shows great reliability and dependability. It's there anytime I need it and it doesn't fall out, unless I want it to fall out.

And you know what? It's great for self soothing. In the morning, when I wake up, I don't cry now. Instead, I just talk to myself, and when I see mommy, I give her a big smile. That makes mommy extra happy, especially since I wake up at 5 or 6 in the morning.

The only problem is, Mommy's worried that I'm turning into an addict. I do sneak it in during meals sometimes.

Boogers Stink

Lately, I've been getting some big boogers in my nose and Mommy worries about my breathing. I'm normally pretty mellow about things, but this is what I hate the most. Wave this in front of my nose and I will turn away and start crying. I hate this with a passion.

Mommy is thinking about getting a Nosefrida for me. She showed this to Daddy and he was grossed out.

DadGear

With Mother's Day just over, Mommy and I were planning ahead about what to get Daddy for Father's Day. We found this:

The Wearable Diaper Bag Vest!
I especially like the diapers in the side holsters. This way Daddy can never have an excuse not to change my diapers! He'd probably want me to use one so he'd be less bulky. It cleverly hides the gut.I also like the changing pad compartment and the wipes access pocket. There's even pockets for holding bottles!

We'll never have to lug around that big diaper bag again! :)
But I'm not sure if Daddy will like it since he doesn't like to change my poopy diapers :(

Mommy's Favorite Elf

Hey look at my outfit from KauFu and KauMo. My cashmere booties are from Auntie Michelle.

Mommy was dressing me like this the other day and it's not even Christmas!

But I think I may not be able to fit these when Christmas comes along. I've already grown 3 inches and 2 pounds in 1 month.

Now I can reach the floor on my jumperoo!

This is what Daddy does to avoid changing my diaper.

My Dedication

On Sunday was my dedication. Along with Tai Ma and Grandma and Grandpa, Grauntie Christina, Grauntie Janice, Pau Pau, Gong Gong, came to my church to see me get dedicated. Even Uncle Josh came by. I haven't seem him since I was a few weeks old. It was nice to see everyone! During my dedication, Pastor Michael called Mommy, Daddy, and me to come up to the front. It was my first time being in front of so many people. I wasn't even nervous! In fact, when Pastor Michael was dedicating me, I raised my hand twice. Afterwards I stayed for the whole service. Mommy and Daddy said I was on good behavior.

This is the dress I wore that Auntie Elizabeth and Uncle Arnold bought for me. Mommy forgot to put my tights on.

Later that night Daddy brought home his new baby. Shhhh! Don't tell him that I'm sitting here in a poopy diaper. He doesn't know I'm in here because he's still sleeping.

Little Cashew's Birthday Bash

I went to a birthday party the other day. It was Little Cashew's birthday. She's a big girl now- she's 3 years old! We went to her house and I met up with some old and new friends.

Xiaozhuzhu, Xiaolaoshu and their parents were there.

So were Uncle Bob, Auntie Eunice, Noah, and Naomi. I like Naomi's hair. Wish I had hair like that!

Daddy put me on a rocking horse and I bopped my head on the back, but don't worry, I didn't cry.

We were all watching Little Cashew open her presents. Her sister Mei Mei was watching in the back too.

Uncle Jeffrey wanted to check out the Hello Kitty sticker book he and Auntie Grace gave Little Cashew. Her cousin Sushi was also interested.

Whoah this is the biggest Hello Kitty I've ever seen.

Uh oh, look where it went.

She's kissing the ceiling!

I had a lot of fun at Little Cashew's house! (Mommy wanted to take another picture of this Hello Kitty).

Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow?

Daddy told Mommy he thinks he should get me one of these baby toupees since I've been losing hair since I was born, but I think I should just live with it.
Me with a lot of hair.

Me now.

I don't mind. Maybe I could get one of these shirts (this baby is not me):

I love my Gong Gong. :) I love Yeh Yeh too, but he has more hair than me.

I'm Five Months Old Today!

Wow, today I'm 5 months old! Mommy says I'm getting bigger and chunkier- too big for my co-sleeper, so now I'm sleeping in my big crib in my own room with Mommy, and my Hello Kitty mobile. (No, Mommy's not sleeping in the crib, silly, she's sleeping in the bed next to me. ) So far I'm liking it. I get more elbow room and space to squirm around. No more waking up in the morning and slapping Daddy in the face (when Mom puts me next to him). Daddy can sleep in peace now.

Uncle Bob, Auntie Eunice, Noah, and Naomi brought me a bumbo seat the other day. I get a different view from it and Mommy says it helps me exercise my neck muscles.

By the way, I have to report that I have some new friends plus some new friends coming out soon in the pipeline. :) In March, I have a new friend named Toby. He looks a lot like his older sister and was even born on the same day. In April, Odelia came along. Her daddy has interesting techniques in keeping her happy. I like to watch them on his website. Odelia will be one month tomorrow. And then this past Sunday, I went to Sweetpea's shower. She's -1.5 months old. She'll be joining us soon in June. Her mommy also likes Hello Kitty, so hopefully we can play with our Hello Kitties together. At her shower, for some strange reason, some Aunties and Uncles were barking at me.

So its Boys: 2 and Girls: 7 in Mommy and Daddy's fellowship. Yay for more girls! I'm gonna have a lot of friends to play Hello Kitties with. I'm just waiting for my cousin to come along, a little pharmacist friend, and someone to take over Cookie and Foo Foo's room.

Outside of Mommy and Daddy's fellowship, I also have some new friends. You've probably met Isabel when she came over my house in March. She's really cool and has some nice toys. I'll also be getting some new friends at church. Keilana's brother is -1 month old, and so is Auntie Alice and Uncle Chung's baby. I don't know if he/she's going to be someone I can play Hello Kitties with though.
